Adam's the only person (so far) to ever play it at the Casbah in San Diego. For years, he wondered if anyone had played it there and when he asked a few of the folks that run the club, the answer was no. But Andy (security guy) said he hated the song, so Adam vowed to figure out a way to play it so he'd like it. A $5.00 bet was made but Andy's been conveniently absent every time Adam's played. Whatta welcher. It was first played when Adam opened for the Posies in the summer of 2000. UPDATE: the solo acoustic mp3 up online is no longer there but you can click the above links to see and hear Rookie Card playing "Rock The Casbah". They became the first BAND to play the song there for a San Diego Music Awards event in 2003.

SIDENOTE
We were recently standing on the corner of Kettner and Laurel after a show and a completely blitzed homeless guy was standing on the other side of the street and started singing "CHARLENE (sic) DON'T LIKE IT!!!!!!! (quietly) Rock the Casbah, rock the Casbah. CHARLENE DON'T LIKE IT......" as he crossed the street, stood on the corner for a second serenading us and then kept singing on up the Laurel hill.
